Dr. Melina Roberts ND - Program Director


Dr. Melina Roberts began her studies at the University of Waterloo where she earned her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. She continued her studies and earned her doctorate degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.

Following completion of her medical degree, she pursued specialized training in a number of European medical modalities with leaders in the field of medicine. She has done extensive training in Visceral Manipulation through the Barral Institute.

Dr. Roberts is regarded as a
top therapist in Visceral Manipulation.

The tremendous patient results and success rates seen with using Visceral Manipulation within her practice with patients of all ages with acute to chronic ailments led her clinical focus to be on Visceral Manipulation. Understanding that this therapy is a vitally important piece of the health puzzle, she receives referrals from many doctors and health care practitioners specifically for Visceral Manipulation.

Dr. Roberts clinical focus includes chronic disease, digestive disorders, IBS, Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn’s disease, women’s health, hormone balancing and pediatric health.

Dr. Roberts is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in the provinces of Alberta and Ontario. She is active member in good standing of the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta, the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), the Board of Directors for Drugless Therapy in Naturopathy (Ontario), the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and the Paracelsus Biological Medicine Network.

She is a published author and has articles in scientific journals and magazines including The Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine, Townsend Letter for Doctors and Patients, Alive Magazine and Blush Magazine for the modern mother. Dr. Roberts is an avid lecturer continually giving inspiring talks on topics from optimizing health to natural cancer treatments.

Fitness and exercise are an important component of her life. She has earned a black belt in Karate and a third degree black belt in Taekwondo. She was a member of the Varsity Women's Rugby Team at the University of Waterloo. She stays active and enjoys running, weight-training, snowboarding and skiing.
